DIRECTORS

RYAN DAVIES

Ryan Davies.

Biography
Born in 1993, the son of a chemical industry manager and a waitress, Davies first took an interest to film in 2007. Davies started Xylokaine in April 2009 as a means of housing his short films under the same roof for easy organisation. It was originally a side project, and was worked on sporadically while Davies was busy in a now-defunct filmmaking quartet called Echoplex. After Echoplex's run ended, Davies was left to work solely on Xylokaine. Instead of producing short sketches in which he also starred (as in Echoplex), Davies used Xylokaine to release longer productions he had written, directed and edited. Xylokaine eventually grew to recruit other directors who needed a production company to release their work. He is currently working on a short film called Klowntown, the official music videos for the Exile Parade songs Hello Blue and If I'm Not Famous, and his first feature-length film How to Make a Killing.

CHRIS ROGERS

Chris Rogers.

Biography
Rogers joined Xylokaine in late 2009 after he asked Ryan Davies for technical help regarding his short zombie film Project Icarus. Eventually, the two discussed the film so much that Rogers asked Davies to co-direct the film. After accepting, Davies and Rogers agreed that Project Icarus would be a Xylokaine production and would also be edited by Davies. Having to drop out of co-directing due to conflicting schedules, Davies kept Rogers onboard as a Xylokaine director. He is currently working on Project Icarus, to be released late 2010 (slated to be October / November).
